I assume many of us remember those movies, games, singers, bands, TV shows, books, sports that we were crazy about at some point during our teen years, and even now as adults. In Russian it sounds so well to summarize such a list under “Моё криминальное прошлое”, literally meaning: My criminal past. I thought it would be fun to make such a list. The exercise is fun to do and brings back so many great memories and feelings (also a bit of surprise, like “how could I like it so much?” but that only adds to the fun). These aren’t just movies I watched or singers I listened to, these are people and things I was gathering posters of, knowing all their songs by heart and vividly imagining how I would meet them 😁
Charmed
2004/2005 – I actually had a notebook where I was writing all their magic spells.

Numai iubirea
2004/2005 – The advantage of being from Moldova really payed off, I got to see the most trendy TV series both on Russian and Romanian television. This one was huge in Romania, but I wouldn’t want to see it again… too much drama!

Dima Bilan
2006/2008 – It is surprising that even today I remember the words to most of his songs by heart. That must have been one big passion! I would still want to go to one of his concerts even today 🙂

High School Musical
2007/2008 – Not proud of it… I need to check with my girl friends from school, but I am almost sure that one day we actually sang their songs in school’s hallways. We were so many watching this movie!
Sims
2009 – It was soon after we got the first real computer at home…11 hours in front of the computer, yes please, Sims people were quite entertaining!
Twilight/Vampire Diaries
2009/2010 – Again, not proud of it.

FC Bayern München
2010/2019 – this one is too deep though, I would still go to their games today and München is one of my favorite cities on earth because of FC Bayern. The story of how I have come to follow their games so closely and how, slowly, the passion for football has started to fade away deserves a separate post.

Friends
2011/2019 – I learned English watching it, pausing and translating words I didn’t understand. It was fun! An episode of Friends would always put me in a better mood.
